Maramec Spring Park is our host for The Folky Fish Festival. The area was an iron works with a mine, and furnaces until 1876. The community had an estimated population of over 500 people. Music would been a great part of the community's life.
Today the area is Maramec Spring Park, a private park administered by the James Foundation. The park showcases the history and beauty of the area. The Spring is the fifth largest spring in the state with an average discharge of 153 cubic feet of water per second. The Missouri Department of Conservation and Maramec Spring Park cooperate to offer trout fishing in the spring branch.
Join us in this unique setting as we celebrate the music that echoes through the hills.
