The Adam Yount - John Hotze Memorial Music Education Fund has been established to support music education opportunities for area students and adults. Awards for 2024 are being funded by private donations and with revenues from the Folky Fish Festival planned for May 31st - June 1st at the Maramec Spring Park in St. James, Missouri.
Funds may be awarded directly to students or to service providers on behalf of the student for expenses such as:
Music oriented tuitions and fees
Instrument purchase
Music/voice lessons
Band camp or workshops
Luthier training
Music production training
Relevant travel expenses
Awards are currently limited to music students residing in Crawford or Phelps County, Missouri, and are being offered as follows for 2024:
● At least (2) awards of up to $1000 for age 17-22 years old students (1 award in each county)
● At least (2) awards of up to $500 for ages 10-16 years old students (1 award in each county)
Awards will be based on the applicant's music education goals, personal efforts to meet those goals, and the need for financial assistance. Applications will be accepted starting March 1st until April 30th, 2024.
