Ellen Coplin crawled over to the piano as a toddler and hasn’t been able to shake the music habit since! She graduated from Taylor University with a bachelors in music composition and a teaching certificate from Indiana Wesleyan University. With 20 years of teaching experience in small group and classroom environments, Ellen is an accomplished teacher across many instruments including piano, cello and guitar. She plays cello with newgrass band Debutants, piano with Irish band Soltre’, and writes and performs with Sean Hoffman in the duo, Bobcat Opossum.
She is also on staff for the Redwing Academy, a week-long music camp preceding the Redwing Roots Music Festival in Mt. Solon, VA (2022-Present).
